江西金溪人，名祏，以字行。洪武四年初开科，廷试第一。授礼部员外郎，与修《大明日历》。以不附胡惟庸，坐事谪居凤阳。上书论时政，因言惟庸专恣。帝得奏召还，命使安南。历官武英殿大学士，后坐事降检讨。十七年又坐事谪云南卒。有《南宫》、《使交》、《成均》、《玉堂》四集。
