吴向，字宗卿，号鲁庵。惠来人，一作潮阳人。明宪宗成化弘治间，陈献章倡明心学，向弃举业而从之。后隐居黄岗，种梅栽莲，读书山中。曾与修《潮阳县志》。有《黄岗杂咏》、《鲁庵逸稿》。清乾隆修《潮州府志》卷三〇有传。
