（988—1056）宋永宁军博野人，字天球。真宗大中祥符四年举服勤辞学科。历知制诰、权御史中丞，知开封府，长于政事，断狱听讼不避贵戚。仁宗景祐四年除参知政事，旋坐事黜知颍州，徙青州、大名府。皇祐初，拜同平章事、判大名府。前后守大名十年，习知边事，守御完固。章献刘太后听政时，尝上《武后临朝图》，为人所鄙。卒谥文简。
