译文
一片片寒叶轻轻地飘洒，
就像是传来沙沙的雨声；
虚寂的厅堂秋风淅淅，
遍地铺盖着露冷霜清。
门外，
黄菊依旧与西风相约而至；
屋里，
白发已先为远客伴愁而生。
我好比知时应节的鸣虫，
吟唱之声逢秋更苦；
我又似是孤栖寒枝的乌鹊，
怀乡之梦入夜屡惊。
石岭关山的小路呵，
何时才能够再次登临——
望一眼家乡的山水呵，
我的双眼顿时闪耀出喜悦的光芒？
注释
凉叶：在寒风中的树叶。萧萧：落叶声。散：散播﹑散发。雨声：指落叶声像雨声一样。
淅淅：风声。掩霜清：即掩于霜清，意思是被清冷的秋霜遮盖着。掩，铺散，遮盖。
黄华：指菊花。华，同“花”。
远客：远离家乡的客子。
候虫：随季节而生或发鸣声的昆虫，如秋天的蟋蟀等。黄庭坚《胡宗元诗集序》说：“候虫之声，则末世诗人之言似之。”
眼暂明：指因喜悦而眼神顿时明亮起来。暂：顿时。

元好问，字裕之，号遗山，太原秀容（今山西忻州）人；系出北魏鲜卑族拓跋氏，元好问过继叔父元格；七岁能诗，十四岁从学郝天挺，六载而业成；兴定五年（1221）进士，不就选；正大元年（1224 ），中博学宏词科，授儒林郎，充国史院编修，历镇平、南阳、内乡县令。八年（1231）秋，受诏入都，除尚书省掾、左司都事，转员外郎；金亡不仕，元宪宗七年卒于获鹿寓舍；工诗文，在金元之际颇负重望；诗词风格沉郁，并多伤时感事之作。其《论诗》绝句三十首在中国文学批评史上颇有地位；作有《遗山集》又名《遗山先生文集》，编有《中州集》。
