妆镜巧眉偷叶样，歌楼妍曲借枝名。晚秋霜霰莫无情。
浣溪沙·二月和风到碧城鉴赏
此为咏物词。词中借咏和风细雨中盛极一时、风情万种的柳枝，塑造了虽青春年少、红极一时而终归要红颜老去、潦倒落拓的歌妓舞女形象，表达了词人对于被侮辱、被损害的风尘女子的同情和关注，同时也寄寓了作者自身深沉的身世感慨。全词借助形象上的比拟与联想，将物与人的命运浑然一体地交织一起，收到了很好的艺术效果。
上片借柳喻人，以风流蕴藉、温馨旖旎的春风杨柳象征歌妓舞女年轻时的生活和形象。起首一句点明时令。“碧城”是丛丛柳树的形象化比喻。此句从容自而又明快轻灵，给人以和煦的春风飘然而至的感觉，而“碧城”的字面又造成重翠叠碧的视觉印象，故虽平直叙起，却有鲜明的形象感。次句“绿相迎”应上“到碧城”，不仅画出了柳枝迎风飘拂、如有情相迎的动人意态，突出了和风的化煦作用，也传出词人面对春风杨柳万千条的景象时欣喜的心情。第三句“舞烟眠雨过清明”以概括之笔收结上片。柳枝暮春的晴烟轻霭中飘舞，暮春的霏霏丝雨中安眠，梦一般温馨的环境中度过了清明三月天。过片巧妙地以眉和柳叶将物与人联系起来。美人对镜梳妆，爱把双眉画成柳叶的形状，歌楼宴席上演唱的清歌也用柳枝作为曲名。词人巧妙地借柳叶眉、《柳枝》曲的流行来渲染柳枝的声名。结句点明主题，情深意切，希望霜霰莫打杨柳，实际上是说歌妓舞女到人老珠黄时备受摧残，寄托了词人对她们的同情。总之，此词借柳喻人，寄托了作者对不幸女子的深切同情，给读者以心灵上的震撼。

晏几道（1030-1106，一说1038—1110 ，一说1038-1112），男，汉族，字叔原，号小山，著名词人，抚州临川文港沙河（今属江西省南昌市进贤县）人。晏殊第七子。历任颍昌府许田镇监、乾宁军通判、开封府判官等。性孤傲，晚年家境中落。词风哀感缠绵、清壮顿挫。一般讲到北宋词人时，称晏殊为大晏，称晏几道为小晏。《雪浪斋日记》云：“晏叔原工小词，不愧六朝宫掖体。”如《鹧鸪天》中的“舞低杨柳楼心月，歌尽桃花扇底风”等等词句，备受人们的赞赏。
