苏溪亭上草漫漫，谁倚东风十二阑。
苏溪亭鉴赏
这首诗的写作时间与《兰溪棹歌》相近。戴叔伦公元780年在（唐德宗建中元年）旧历五月至次年春曾任东阳令，苏溪在今浙江省义乌市苏溪镇，与浙江省东阳市不远，这首诗大约是他在这段期间所作的。
诗中所写的景是暮春之景，情是怨别之情。“苏溪亭上草漫漫”，写出地点和节候。野草茁长，遍地青青，已是暮春时节。这时的溪边亭上，“春草碧色，春水渌波”，最容易唤起人们的离愁别绪，正为下句中的倚阑人渲染了环境气氛。“谁倚东风十二阑”，以设问的形式，托出倚阑人的形象。在东风吹拂中，斜倚阑干的那人是谁呢？这凝眸沉思的身姿，多像《西洲曲》里的人：“鸿飞满西洲，望郎上青楼。楼高望不见，尽日阑干头。阑干十二曲，垂手明如玉。”
这位倚阑人眼中所见、心中所思的是什么呢？燕子还没有回到旧窝，而美好的春光已快要完了。虽是眼中之景，却暗喻着心中之情：游子不归，红颜将老。“一汀烟雨杏花寒”，正是“春事晚”的具体描绘。迷蒙的烟雨笼罩着一片沙洲，料峭春风中的杏花，也失去了晴日下艳丽的容光，显得凄楚可怜。这景色具体而婉曲地传出倚阑人无端的怅惘，不尽的哀愁。如此写法，使无形之情因之而可见，无情之景因之而可思。宋人贺铸《青玉案·凌波不过横塘路》词里的警句：“试问闲愁都几许？一川烟草，满城风絮，梅子黄时雨”，可能就是受到这首唐诗的启发的。
四句诗全是写景，而景语即情语，情景融浑无迹。诗人描写暮春景色浓郁而迷蒙，恰和倚阑人沉重而忧郁的心情契合相印，诗韵人情，隽永醇厚。

戴叔伦(732—789)，唐代诗人，字幼公（一作次公），润州金坛(今属江苏)人。年轻时师事萧颖士。曾任新城令、东阳令、抚州刺史、容管经略使。晚年上表自请为道士。其诗多表现隐逸生活和闲适情调，但《女耕田行》、《屯田词》等篇也反映了人民生活的艰苦。论诗主张“诗家之景，如蓝田日暖，良玉生烟，可望而不可置于眉睫之前”。其诗体裁皆有所涉猎。
