浣溪沙·红蓼渡头秋正雨鉴赏
薛昭蕴不是画家，但他的这首《浣溪沙》却给读者描绘出了一幅苍凉寂寞的秋雨渡头待人图。
词的上片写沙滩上秋雨中的渡头，水边长着紫红色的蓼花鸥迹成行，描绘出渡头的苍凉、寂寞。在这样的环境中，却孤零零地站着一个盛装的佳人。这三句给读者在听觉上的是风雨声，在视觉上的是热色的红蓼花，成行的沙鸥足迹和盛装的佳人，在嗅觉上的是佳人和野花的芳香。但这些并没有使画面热闹起来。秋风、秋雨、红蓼、鸥迹、孤独佳人，使人突出地感觉到的是渡头环境的苍凉和寂寞。第三句“整鬟飘袖野风香”还给读者留下了这佳人站在渡头要干什么的悬念。“整鬟”，在这里不仅有盛装的意思，还包含着“女卫悦己者容”的意思。
过片“不语含嚬深浦里”承上启下。“不语含嚬”的人就是上片“整鬟飘袖”的佳人，这是承上。为什么“不语含嚬”，这是启下，也是词人安排的又一个悬念。紧接着“几回愁煞棹船郎”写佳人心事重重地皱着眉，默默地立在渡头，又不要摆渡、放舟，所以“愁煞”船夫。这里并没有有些注家所讲的要“放船自适”、“临流往返”的意思。“煞”是表示极甚之辞，不过“愁煞”在这里是“为难了”、“难坏了”的意思，愁的分量是很轻很轻的。词的最后一句，拓开一层讲：“燕归帆尽水茫茫。”说在佳人默望中，燕子归去了，江上的征帆过尽了，剩下的只有茫茫江水。至此，方点明了怀人的主题，暗示了佳人的痴情和痛苦，也解开了上文一个又一个的悬念，结束了全词。最后一句，从表面上看来，燕归、帆尽、水茫茫，都是写景，而深含着的至真至切的怀人之情，却紧扣读者的心扉，一切都在“不语”中。这样以一个饶有余味的画面结尾，既合水乡秋景，又关人物心情，景情俱佳。
