马祖常（1279～1338）元代色目人，回族著名诗人。字伯庸，光州（今河南潢川）人。延佑二年，会试第一，廷试第二，授应奉翰林文字，拜监察御史。元仁宗时，铁木迭儿为丞相，专权用事，马祖常率同列劾奏其十罪，因而累遭贬黜。自元英宗硕德八剌朝至元顺帝朝，历任翰林直学士、礼部尚书、参议中书省事、江南行台中丞、御史中丞、枢密副使等职。为文法先秦两汉，宏瞻而精核，富丽而新奇，内容多制诏、碑志等类作品，诗作圆密清丽，除应酬之作外，亦有反映民间疾苦的作品。
