胡宿（九九五～一○六七），字武平，常州晋陵（今江苏常州）人。仁宗天圣二年（一○二四）进士。历官扬子尉、通判宣州、知湖州、两浙转运使、修起居注、知制诰、翰林学士、枢密副使。英宗治平三年（一○六六）以尚书吏部侍郎、观文殿学士知杭州。四年，除太子少师致仕，命未至已病逝，年七十三（《欧阳文忠公文集》卷三四《胡公墓志铭》）。他在北宋仁宗、英宗两朝为官，位居枢密副使，以居安思危、宽厚待人、正直立朝著称，死后谥文恭。
