令狐峘（?～805年），宜州华原（今陕西耀县）人，令狐德棻五世孙，史学家。他博学善撰，尤长文史。唐玄宗天宝末年中进士，遇“安史之乱”发生，他避乱入终南山。五年初，窦参任宰相，以他从前在衡州时有冒功之过，将他贬为吉州别驾，后迁为刺史，最后贬为衢州别驾。他在此住了10年，于艰辛之中坚持写完《代宗实录》。令狐峘知识渊博，性格孤傲，不善攀结权贵，因而多次受贬。805年，顺宗即帝位，召他回朝任秘书少监，卒于北返途中。元和年问，其子令狐丕将《代宗实录》交予朝廷，朝廷以撰写之劳追赠他工部尚书衔。
