其妻劝止之，举觞向天白，妇人之言不足听。又不见汉朝公孙称钜公，脱粟不舂为固穷。
规行矩步自衒世，不若为虱处裈中。丈夫所贵岂穷苦，千载倜傥流英风。
人言徐卿是痴儿，袖中吴钩何用为。长安市上歌击筑，坐客知谁高渐离。
我醉且倒黄金罍，世人笑我餔糟而扬醨。吁嗟屈原何清，渔父何卑，鲁连乃蹈东海死。
梅福脱帽青门枝，明朝走马报雠去，襄子桥边人岂知。

徐祯卿（1479－1511）字昌谷，一字昌国，汉族，吴县（今江苏苏州）人，祖籍常熟梅李镇，后迁居吴县。明代文学家，被人称为“吴中诗冠”，是吴中四才子（亦称江南四大才子）之一。因“文章江左家家玉，烟月扬州树树花”之绝句而为人称誉。
