魏元旷，1856-1935，原名焕章，号潜园，又号斯逸、逸叟，南昌县人。光绪二十一年己未进士，历任刑部主事，民政部署高等审判厅推事。辛亥后归故里，应胡思敬约，校勘《豫章丛书》。潜心著述，曾任《南昌县志》总纂，此书与胡思敬《盐乘》并称近代江西两部名志。编纂《西山志》6卷。有《潜园全集》。
