自食其果的典故

宋朝时期，有位大官名叫丘浚的人去拜访一位和尚，但和尚看见丘浚的打扮不像是做官的人，于是对他不理不睬，态度非常不礼貌。这个时候，来了位高级军官的儿子，那位和尚看他穿著打扮非常气派，便立刻满脸笑容、必恭必敬地走上前招待。丘浚看到这一切很生气，等到那个军官的儿子离开后，愤怒地问和尚说：“你为甚么对我这样不客气，而对他又那么好呢？”

和尚口才很好，说：“你误解了！我表面上对他客气，但内心未必对他客气；而内心对他客气的，就没必要表面客气。”

这时丘浚手中刚好有支拐杖，一怒之下，向和尚的头上打去，说道：“按照你的逻辑，打你就是爱你，不打你就是恨你，那么我只好打你了。”
