长袖善舞的成语故事

基本解释袖子长，有利于起舞。原指有所依靠，事情就容易成功。后形容有财势会耍手腕的人，善于钻营，会走门路。

出处先秦 韩非《韩非子 五蠹》：“鄙谚曰：‘长袖善舞，多钱善贾。’此言多资之易为工也。”

长袖善舞的典故

范雎和蔡泽，是战国末期两个有名的人物：范雎《通鉴》作范雎，是魏国人，起初在魏国的中大夫须贾手下做事，因故被须贾打得半死，逃到秦国，化名张禄，向秦昭王献“远交近攻”的外交政策，昭王拜他为客卿，后来为相国，封应候。蔡泽是燕国人，先曾游说赵、韩、魏各国，都不见用，来到秦国，见了昭王，昭王很赏识他，也由客卿而为相国，虽然担任相国的时间才几个月，但在秦国住了十多年，从秦昭王起，经孝文王、庄襄王到始皇帝，一直受到尊重，号为纲成君。

这两个人，都是所谓“辩士”，就是极有口才，能言善论的说客，他们都因此取得秦王的信任。司马迁感叹“衣袖长的人善于跳舞，有钱的人会做买卖。”
