鹏程万里的典故

传说我国古代有一种鹏鸟，是一种名叫“鲲”的大鱼变成的。它的背长达几千里。每年六月，它都要飞往南海的“天池”，它把翅膀一拍，天池的水就被击起三千里的浪花。它乘着旋风，一下子能飞越九万里的高空。一些小鸟很不理解地问它：“你为什么要飞到九万里以外的天边呢？”

后来，人们就根据这个故事，编了一句成语“鹏程万里”，用来比喻前程非常远大。
