贾宝玉上了几天的学后就在家里与众姐妹厮混，王夫人见贾环下了学，命他抄《金刚咒》，贾环拿腔作势地抄写。凤姐来拜见王夫人，宝玉也来了，滚到了王夫人怀里，搂着王夫人的脖子，规规矩矩说了几句话，贾环在一旁痛恨宝玉。
