言过其实的典故

三国时期蜀国大将马谡喜欢谈论军事理论，诸葛亮比较欣赏他。刘备认为马谡言过其实，不可大用。魏国司马懿亲自带兵与张郃进攻蜀国街亭，诸葛亮派马谡带兵防守，可是马谡骄傲轻敌，死搬兵书，结果被打败。诸葛亮只好挥泪斩马谡。
