春秋时期，晋国典狱官李离为人正直，秉公办案，执法量刑均以律法为准绳，对高官与百姓一视同仁，做到有法必依，有罪必罚。他发现一起错判死刑的冤案，认为自己有责任，让下属绑了自己去见晋文公。文公要放他，他则认为应该对律法誓死不二。
