人琴俱亡的典故

王献之的哥哥王徽之对他的弟弟非常钦佩，王献之对哥哥也很敬重，两人感情非常深厚。

后来，兄弟两人都患了重病，王献之先去世。王徽之的家人怕他悲痛，没有把这坏消息告诉他。王徽之老是听不到弟弟的消息，很是担心。一天，他实在忍不住，便问家人道：“子敬（王献之的字）的病怎样了？为什么长久没有听到他的消息？是否出事了？”

家人含糊回答，不向他吐露真情。王徽之终于明白过来，悲哀地说：“看来子敬已经死了！是吗？”

家人知道再也瞒不下去，便说了实话。王徽之听了也不痛哭，只是下了病榻，吩咐仆从准备车辆去奔丧。

到了王献之家，王徽之在灵床上坐了下来。他知道献之生前爱好弹琴，便对献之的家人说：“把子敬的琴取来。”

琴拿来后，王徽之就在灵床上一面弹，一面想着过去兄弟两人的情谊。他越想越悲伤，弹了几次，都不成曲调。于是举起琴向地上掷去，然后叹道：“子敬！子敬！如今人琴俱亡！”

叹罢，他悲痛得昏过去了。一个多月以后，他也离世而去。
