一动不如一静的典故

南宋时期，宋孝宗到西湖游玩看到飞来峰就问随他游玩的和尚僧端其由来，僧端把当年印度僧人验证飞来峰原本是西天灵鹫山的典故说了一遍。孝宗问为什么不再飞走呢？僧端非常巧妙地回答道：“谚语不是有‘一动不如一静’吗？”孝宗认为言之有理。
